World Botanical Gardens & Waterfalls

World Botanical Gardens & Waterfalls

The Gardens are located 16 miles north of Hilo, Hawaii, and consist of hundreds of acres of prime agricultural land abutting the Belt Highway on the east, and extending 1.5 miles up the slope of the extinct Mauna Kea volcano to the west. The northern border is between the Umauma River and the Hakalau Gulch which is feed by Kamaee stream among others that flow from Mauna Kea.

Come view the spectacular pristime waterfall cascading nearly a hundred feet through pristine tropical forest.

Soak in the beauty of our spectacular 360-degree vistas including Mauna Kea, sweeping ocean views and pasteral settings of a cattle ranch of the paniola style.

Enjoy the peace and quiet among the trees as you walk the nature trail winding through the rain forest with the myriads of waterfalls tumbling along Honopueo Stream.

Stroll beside the 80-meter-long wall covered with hundreds of wild orchids and our colorful Rainbow Walk which includes 100 species of Bromeliads.

Mango trees, Guava, Papaya, Pineapple, Banana, Breadfruit and much, much more.
